"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." ~Gordon B. Hinckley

Gideon Michael
My little guy is one tough, lucky cookie. When he crawls out on our porch to play he goes right for the rusty old lanterns that are sitting out there. It doesn't matter that we surround him with plastic, baby friendly toys, he will crawl over and around them to play with glass and rusty metal. Then last week, the day after I saw my first scorpion in our house, I found Gideon sitting in Reagan's room holding a scorpion and playing with him. As I have thought more about this incident these past few days I'm more amazed that the scorpion didn't pinch him or sting him.
Gideon is lucky, and blessed, and he also might just have the type of spirit that gets on with creatures. I'd be fine not testing this theory out. But my kid sure is protected, brave, lucky, not sure exactly what you call it, but I'm thankful he is holding out so well in such a tough world for little babies.
