When Reagan was first assessed after birth, the nurse heard the heart murmur. He let us know that if it didn't close up within an hour, they would be doing further testing. Some complications were suspected so they sent him to the Children's Hospital for further testing. Evan and Jennifer spoke to 6 different cardiologists and they decided the best plan was to do a less invasive procedure until he was older and stronger to handle a corrective surgery. They placed a catheter with an expander in an artery at his hip area and traveled it up to his heart. The procedure took a few hours and they say this should last him up to 8 years. They are at the hospital recovering now. Evan will write the details of what was going on later as I am not good at that doctor talk like he is. :) Look how much Reagan has changed in just a short amount of time! Such a cutie!
I am so excited for you new parents!! He is absolutely adorable! Such a precious little life you two get to share in!!! We have been praying for you all everyday and can't wait to meet your little miracle to see in person just how precious he is! Take it easy Jenn when you get home with him and make sure you get PLENTY of you and baby and daddy time--- don't let anyone pressure you into visits (my own personal experience influenced that lol) and then when you feel ready let us know so we can bring Reagan a little something and visit with you guys!
